Abu Hamdan, Akram

Born in Jordan, Abu Hamdan trained at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. He was a lecturer and design tutor at the School of Architecture at the University of Jordan for eight years.

In his role as council member of the Greater Amman Municipality, he led the design team for the Jordan Pavilion – EXPO 2000 in Hanover, Germany, for which he was awarded the Medal of Independence by Jordan’s King Abdullah II.

He is Director General of the National Resources Investment and Development Corporation, with projects in urban regeneration in the cities of Amman, Zarqa and Aqaba.
