Mosque of Abu Dulaf

Mosque of Abu Dulaf (860-861) is located in northern Samarra, Iraq; about 20km form the  Great Mosque of al-Mutawakkil. Like the Great Mosque, the Mosque of Abu Dulaf was built of fired brick. Also like the Great Mosque, it was commissioned by the caliph al-Mutawakkil. Its minaret has the same form as al-Malwiyya, but is only 20m tall.

Only some remnants of the inner arcade still stand, along with the minaret, alone in the middle of desert.
