A wooden double-reed instrument, the rhaita is one of the primary instruments used by traditional music ensembles from Morocco. It is similar to the Egyptian and Levantine mizmar. In Tunisia it is called the zukrah.

The rhainta or zukrah play an extensive role in public festivities. In Morocco, ensembles usually combine several of these instruments with percussion.
