Author of many books on medicine, history, and astronomy. He wrote “Al-Athar Al-Baqiya ‘An al -Qurun al-Khalia”, (what is left from past centuries) which contains a picture about Caesarian operation, and he describes how the mother of Caesar Augustus died in labor and her abdomen was cut open and the child delivered through the wound.
