Sinan bin Thabet bin Qurra made contributions in medicine, philosophy, astronomy, and engineering. Math was his hobby. He translated five books of Euclid into Arabic. He wrote “Ath-Thakira Fi-Tibb” (Memory in Medicine).

He was appointed to administer licensure and specialty certification examinations for prospective practitioners.
